Paul Baccam

Paul Baccam is a VFX compositor with 15 years across episodic TV, music videos, and blockbuster film pipelines. 78 IMDb credits.

He started in stereoscopic conversion — his very first shot was on Captain America: The First Avenger, and his name is in the end credits. He ended up working on all three Chris Evans Captain America movies. Stereo was a stepping stone. Compositing is what he always wanted to do.

He spent seven years at the BodyShop, Sony Pictures’ small boutique studio, as the senior compositor — the one they gave the hard shots to. He trained new artists and looked after the pipeline scripts. Later he led the VFX team on Daylong, a pro bono short, getting CG-quality results out of 2D techniques with no full studio pipeline behind him.

He’s based in Tampa, FL, and he’s looking for 2D and 3D compositing work.
